What is Practical Shooting (PRS)?

Precision Rifle Series (PRS) is a technical shooting discipline that challenges shooters to hit targets at various distances, often beyond 1000 meters, in real-world conditions. Unlike traditional shooting, PRS-style competitions require shooters to hit targets from a variety of positions, using both natural and artificial barricades or obstacles, while taking into account wind, temperature, air pressure and time constraints.
This sport combines precision, speed and adaptability to changing conditions, forcing shooters to master their equipment, ballistics and constantly improve their shooting skills. The Latin saying "Amat Victoria Curam" or "Victory loves preparation" is fully applicable to this sport.
A shooter must be able to think critically, quickly and calmly, and execute competition drills safely and accurately, regardless of the pressure of competition or the influence of external factors.
PRS is designed to simulate shooting in real-life scenarios, improving the shooter’s skills for accurate and safe use of the weapon. Whether you are a beginner or an experienced shooter, PRS offers a unique challenge that rewards discipline, skill and continuous development.
PRS fosters a culture of openness and sharing, meaning that experienced shooters are always ready to offer advice or support to colleagues and beginners. The exchange of knowledge improves the skills of all participants and contributes to the development of the sport.
PRS is not just about hitting the target – it is about accuracy, strategy, marksmanship and the formation of new friendships.
